How to think about packing for a ski trip

Your Go-To Women’s Ski Vacation Packing List

Packing for a ski trip can feel overwhelming—especially when you want to be warm, comfortable, and stylish from first chair to après. The key is packing smarter, not more.

The most seasoned skiers pack with intention—choosing layers that mix, match, and perform. This page is that list, read from the skin outward. Each layer ticks itself off as you pass it.

  • Stick to a cohesive color palette
  • Choose layers that work together
  • Pack for function first—style follows
  • Prioritize comfort for travel days

This streamlined list ensures you’re prepared without overpacking.

Material Guide

brrr°® combines three cooling technologies into one fabric.

Every great day outside starts with the right foundation. That’s why we choose materials that work as hard as you do. Technical where it counts, comfortable every step of the way.

brrr°® is a cooling performance fabric engineered to actively reduce skin temperature through a combination of cooling minerals, moisture-wicking fibers, and rapid drying technology. Together, they create what’s known as the Triple Chill Effect.

Instant Cooling

Cooling minerals embedded directly into the fabric create an immediate cool-to-the-touch sensation, helping reduce perceived skin temperature from the moment it’s worn.

Moisture-Wicking

Designed to actively pull sweat away from the skin and spread it across the fabric surface, helping maintain dryness and comfort during movement or rising temperatures.

Rapid Drying

Rapid drying construction, built directly into the structure of the fabric, so the cooling effect is permanent.

Temperature Regulation

Three technologies work together to deliver a consistent cooling effect over time, helping regulate temperature throughout the day, not just on first wear.

olympian-founded.

Bye-bye, boys club.

After competing in men’s ski wear at the 2018 Winter Olympics, co-founder Kiley McKinnon had enough of the “unisex” fits truly meant for men and the unapproachability of the outdoor industry.

Frustrated by the lack of gear fit for women’s bodies, coupled with "hardcore" outdoor culture, Kiley came together with co-founders Ariana and Karelle to provide women with a better option for ski apparel, and to disrupt the male-dominated outdoor industry.

Since launching the brand in 2020, we’ve expanded into outdoor apparel for the mountain year-round, but ski is where everything started for us. It’s why we design technical products that can compete at the highest level of the sport, but can be worn by every level of skier: because everyone (!) deserves to own the mountain.

Take Care of Your Gear—It’ll Take Care of You

Learning how to wash and care for your ski gear keeps you warm, dry, and confident on the mountain—especially when you’re just getting started. Most ski jackets only need washing once or twice per season, unless heavily soiled.

Orange pouch with GORE-TEX care kit packets
Good gear deserves good care.
  1. Wash

Wash the jacket according to our care instructions. Always use cold water and a technical fabric detergent, like Nikwax®.

  2. Dry

After a good wash, be sure to fully dry the garment, either by hanging to dry or tumble drying on LOW heat.

  3. Heat

Heat must be applied to the garment. After it is fully dry, put it back in the dryer for about 20 minutes to reactivate the DWR.

  4. Test

Put the waterproofing to the test by lightly spraying your garment with water. You should see the water immediately bead up and roll off.

  5. Re-waterproof

If water does not bead up after following the steps above, you’ll need to reapply the durable water repellent using a DWR product of your choice.
